BACKGROUND
Otté Hōm is a Manila-based home goods shop that offers funky objects and vegan hand-poured scented candles. The store launched two collections for its debut: Sunrise and Midnight Candle Collection. Within the Midnight Collection are the Rose and Camp Candles. My task was to create the label designs for the candles, paired with a thank-you card.
CHALLENGE
How could you make the label design unique and contrasting from the other collection without going off-brand?
THE DESIGN
For this collection, I still incorporated the strategy used in the Sunrise Collection: use illustrations to stand out from the crowd and paint a picture for the audience. I used gradients and abstract shapes to achieve a more sensual and subdued effect, contrasting the bright and whimsical design of the Sunrise Collection.
This Rose candle is a blend of alluring rose leaves and a hint of bitter sage. It captivates the rich and velvety scent of a bouquet of long-stemmed roses.
The Camp Candle gives off warm pine finished with bronze wood. Imagine hiking and setting up camp to absorb all the fresh earthy scents of your surroundings.
